Sarra is a Geological and Environmental Engineer and is a PhD student in environmental remote sensing at the National Engineering School of Sfax in Tunisia.  She has been actively working on soil assessment for the projects “Drought impact on ecosystem health” (TU Dresden, Germany) and “Remote Sensing for Sustainable Soil Management” with CNCT (The National Centre of Cartography and Remote Sensing in Tunisia).  Sarra is collaborating with ETC-UMA to contribute to the implementation of the Pelagos Sanctuary Management Plan by collecting data on the spatial distribution of biodiversity and threats in the Pelagos area and the identification of mitigation measures through a dedicated database and internet viewer.
